    The Panasonic EYC215LS2F57 14.4V Dual Voltage, 4.2Ah Li-ion battery Cordless Drill & Driver / Impact Driver Combo Kit combines lightweight bodies with extreme power. Both units feature precision variable speed control/reversible, high power brushless motor, plus LED light for user-friendly operation in dark areas, and an electric brake for added safety.
    Extreme Durability
    New Brushless Motor Without brushes and commutator which can reduce the lifetime of the tool, the motor lasts approximately twice compared with brushed motor. *Compared with Panasonic conventional brushed motor.
    New Ultra Hard Chuck Jaw Tips
    We increased durability of every part right down to the new metal chuck which features tungsten carbide jaw tips. These extra hardened inserts are brazed into each jaw to give extra 'bite strength' and substantially reduce wear.
    New Hybrid Switch
    To eliminate heavy friction to internal parts of the switch during use of electric brake, we developed a new semi-electronic switch. This gives smoother operation and double* the life expectancy of the part. * Compared with Panasonic conventional switches.
    Increased Efficiency and Flexibility
    The new 'Speed Control Function' allows the user to select from three different low rotation speed settings, based on allowable maximum speeds for metal hole saws. It greatly reduces 'run out' when using metal hole saws and prevents surface scorching on stainless steel and other materials.
    The advanced 'Smooth Start' electronics allow easy, precise speed control, enabling the ultimate control when starting drilling or working with small screws in precise applications.
    Multiple Modes for all Applications
    Hard - Fastening long bit and bolt. Medium - Fastening for furniture. Soft - Fastening for plaster board. Self Drilling Screw Mode - This new function starts at highest speed to cut hole and then transfers to High Mode to cut initial thread. After that, load is reduced so it automatically switches to slower Soft Mode to limit the potential of stripping threads on fastener or material.

    Over-discharged prevention sensor - Prevents over-discharge to avoid lasting cell damage or recharge problems. Battery overheat protection sensor - Cuts off power to the motor before the battery temperature rises.
